C. Maclean Gardner.
T for the “Thoughts” that I bear for that isle
I for its “Interests” that I pray for the while,
R for its “Rocks” where I played as a boy,
E for the “Energy” it imparts to enjoy.
E again speaks of the “Enveloping” sea,
Oh! blessed, sweet spot, dearest isle of Tiree.
