Transport To Tiree
By Ferry: Tiree is a 4 hour Ferry Trip from Oban. The sailing is usually calm and comfortable. Caledonian MacBrayne (Calmac) is the ferry operator. They run a Summer and Winter Timetable which have different sail times. Their website is www.calmac.co.uk and their customer service telephone number is 08000 665000 (News: Ferry fares are HALF price from October 2008 and now subsidised by government! Now cheaper!)
By Air: Flybe run a daily air service from Glasgow International Airport to Tiree. Prices and Availability can be found on their website at www.flybe.com
Transport on Tiree
Ring n Ride: Tiree now has a Ring n’ Ride service provided by Argyll & Bute Council. This service is available on demand anywhere on the island between 7am and 6pm Monday to Saturday. Anyone can use this service. To book a journey contact Nancy MacKechnie (John Kennedy Taxis) on01879 220419.
