Quiet ferry queue. This was a very surreal moment for me. When I took the photo, it was the immediate day after lockdown in March 2020, as soon as Boris told us all to stay at home!
The problem was, I was in Tiree. My family and home on the mainland. I had to get home in what was , if you remember the very start of covid, rather frightening and uncertain.
Calmac cancelled the ferries and it took until 2 days later for me and just one other traveller to be taken back to Oban, then a quiet journey by car alone back to Central Belt. I was relieved to be home and never passed one car for most of the journey!!
