With rain almost constant yesterday, it was a day to be indoors. A productive day as we rolled up our sleeves to deep clean and declutter, something we always do at each scheduled maintenance visit. It’s amazing all the little odds and ends, extra things and items which accumulate from guests over the season, and a declutter in the kitchen cupboard and drawers was necessary.
Whilst not particularly exciting, past and future guests may be interested to know the kitchen cupboards and drawers have all been deep cleaned, washing each utensil, cutlery, plates and cups. Some utensils replaced with new, others thrown out at the end of their life. We binned 2 bin bags of redundant, old equipment, trays, (7 pots and pans!) shelves for the former oven and items no longer needed. Cupboards are all neat and tidy with items back into the places they should be. The oven and hob are immaculate as are the oven shelves, a standard we intend to continue. A productive afternoon and all ready for future guests.
For guest safety, the smoke alarms, mains powered on the ceiling have now been completely replaced with new with arrangements made for interlinking to the adjacent heat and CO2 alarms.
