Until we arrived in Tiree this week, we’d completely forgotten that the main shop, the Co-op in Scarinish was being extended and going through a complete refit. I have to say, it looks great, with many more products visible and still priced well. Some holidaymakers will be pleased to see the alcohol section with a larger choice, as well as tall fridge aisles offering plenty more choice on many different kinds of meals.
This comes at a time when the community shop “Buth a Bhaile” has also opened at Crossapol, which for guests at Struthan Cottage, now means there is a new shop closer by, without having to go all the way to the Co-op! Very welcomed if you’re just wanting to pop out for a paper and milk!
