A very well equipped cottage on a very beautiful island. Fresh sea air, walks, beaches and wildlife. Very fortunate to see the otters on the loch below the cottage, a magnificent sight! A thoroughly enjoyable week. Great evening meal at the Ceabhar booking advisable. Thanks.
This was our first visit to Tiree which we thoroughly enjoyed and are very grateful that you allowed us to stay in your lovely cottage – the renovation is beautiful. We returned home relaxed and ready to face the hurly-burly of everyday life and hope we may return to this little part of heaven. Thanks Paul.
Super holiday in a super cottage! By far the best and cleanest we’ve ever been to in Tiree. We didn’t want for anything in such a well equipped retreat. Weather was windy but that didnt matter. I see next year is already filling up, so we’ll be in touch soon.

You’ve thought of everything. A Winter holiday was always going to have some weather, so it was such a pleasant surprise to see games, books and dvds. Such a choice and some films only a few weeks old! It’s so refreshing to see cottage owners going the extra mile for guests. We’ll be back.

Our third year in a row back to Struthan Cottage and to Tiree. You have us hooked. We cant risk going to any other cottage knowing already we’ll have a brilliant time at Struthan. Beaches are to die for. Saw otters playing in the nearby loch and our kids now think the cottage is their second home. The best kept secret in Scotland! Sshhh……

The cottage was the highest standard of any self-catering cottage we’ve ever stayed in and the renovation was completed to an amazingly high standard, it was a true home from home, everything we needed from tin openers to a pizza cutter was to hand. Tiree had the weather I remembered (ie. changeable!) but the location of the cottage was perfect to let the kids cycle in safety, and just explore – 15mins walking to the beach, 15mins walking to windsurf, no midges, what’s not to like?
The only things we would have loved to see in the cottage were a cheese cutter, an extra couple of chairs to sit 6 at the table, and maybe some background on the cottage itself including the amazing renovation you completed. In short, we can’t wait to go back.
Though the best memory we’ll take home is watching our youngest learning to crawl and exploring the garden unaided!
Just had a fabulous time in “Struthan”. Loved the layout of the cottage and the kitchen was a delight with lots of dishes and cutlery. The views from the cottage were great,saw hares every day and watched a family of otters on the loch as the sun set.The beaches are clean,long and crystal clear.Great island for walking and cycling or just chilling out.Apart from dust under the beds “Struthan” was a perfect place to stay and have recommended this to friends.Thank you Paul for a very professional website and customer service.
