We’re over on Tiree this week for Winter Maintenance week. Routine, seasonal maintenance, but also looking to improve certain things as always.
The back grass has had its final Cut for the winter and we’ve scarified the lawn, lifting out many bags of moss. Aerating the lawn with forks, hopefully this should make for a nice, green, healthy lawn next springtime.
Colours change in Tiree in October. The greens of fields and grass giving over to browns and oranges with the onset of Winter. Though we personally prefer the greenery of summer, this time of year is absolutely ideal to get loads of jobs done around the garden. We’ve been SO busy the last few days pruning, weeding, weed killing, edging paths and helping prop our existing plants and trees in readiness for any further strong winds.
