Photographers Wanted, 1956

We’ve been researching some Tiree history. During the month of July 1956, a team of 70 tradesmen and women spent their holidays on Tiree working to restore and redecorate the Kirkapol Church and manse.

Rev E Foster Hall of Musselburgh involved with the project, wanted to record this event and so advertised in Scottish newspapers for photographers with experience in 35mm Colour film and 16mm movie cameras. There must be footage and photos out there of this work done so diligently 69 years ago.
