A bring and Buy sale held in Ruaig School raised the lofty sum of £14 with thanks to kindness from islanders. The message was “With all good luck for a speedy recovery.”, the sum as part of the campaign by the Oban Times was greatly appreciated.
1941 was a year where the RAF had to replenish their planes after the Battle of Britain played out mostly the previous year over Southern English skies. A vital victory for Britain against the Luftwaffe.
