Garden Improvements

It’s been a beautiful Spring day here in Tiree.

The sun came out, the temperature rose (slightly), skies were blue and unusually for Tiree, there was no wind, with the nearby loch absolutely flat calm. Making the most of the weather, I decided to work outside today, cutting back some trees, tidying up leaves and twigs, sweeping up etc.

I built a brand new French Bistro Patio set, which now sits proudly outside the cottage door. A nice place to sit in the morning sun.

I also built a small rockery next to the porch. This was previously an underused area, difficult to maintain and not the best looking. Now, i’ve planted some hardy plants, removed all the weeds, put weed proof matting down and plum slate stone chips to finish it. It now looks great and I’m sure will look fairly green in years to come.
