BBC have run a story recently about the poor weather of the last month (July) for Scotland as a whole.
Following a record driest first half of the year since 1941, July poured down.

Tiree in the Inner Hebrides recorded 129mm of rain – again more than had fallen in July in any other year this decade. The island also had its lowest recording of sunshine duration since 2003 with 137.3 hours.
At a time when theres floods in Pakistan and Eastern Europe, it seems the Northern half of the planet has had a lot of rainfall this year. Thankfully August has been a little better and long range for Tiree for September looks nice.
