Tilley the Tiree Turbine

News just in this morning is that the Tiree Wind Turbine – Tilley –  has been energised, is turning and generating power – and money – for the Isle of Tiree. After more than four years of hard work by the TREL board the turbine was switched on late afternoon Saturday. The official opening will be held on Saturday 24th April at 2pm. That evening a ceilidh dance will be held at An Talla to celebrate the opening.
