The Elephant’s End

“Whats this post about?”, i hear you ask.  Looking out towards Staffa, Iona, and Mull, Elephant’s End Restaurant is situated on Gott Bay on the beautiful Isle of Tiree in the Inner Hebrides.

Every guest to Struthan Cottage should make a point of visiting this highly recommended establishment. Dont forget to BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle!)

They specialise in cooking local produce. Beef, lamb, lobster, crab, langoustine and prawns. Wherever possible they use locally grown vegetables and potatoes and  bake their own bread, scones, cakes and pastries daily.  Their chutneys, salsas and pickles are mainly homemade using only the best ingredients which sums up their aim….Food, Pure and Simple.

Elaine, the owner of Elephant’s End Restaurant, is also the cook, this ensures that quality is always of prime importance. The evening menu changes daily as the freshest Island ingredients become available but to view a sample menu or find out more see their website at
