Latest Photos of Kitchen II

Mirror Mirror on the wall

Next installment of our kitchen update. Attached to this post are a couple more photos of the finished kitchen.

This heavy, large oak mirror matches the kitchen exactly and the reflective surface adds to the feeling of space. Sitting above the multifuel stove and chimney recess, you can now make sure you look you’re best whilst cooking! (For those of you who bother about that sort of thing). I’m sure you’ll agree it looks fantastic hung on the white stone wall.

We’re back in Tiree on Sat 16th to install the stove in the kitchen and in the living room.

The photo below shows the other side of the kitchen units, extending into the open plan area downstairs, and you can see the staircase and beyond into the living room. The dark wood of the staircase contrasts with the lighter wood in the kitchen, but leads you up to the darker wood colours upstairs.

The picture you see on the left isnt quite finished yet. We still have facings on the underside of the stairwell and the electrical cupboard door to put on. There’s also a little bit of painting still to do.

Finally, spotted the wine rack? What holiday would be complete than to wait for the kids to go to bed, and pour yourself a nice glass of wine, relaxing on a warm Summer evening. Struthan Cottage is nearly ready folks, and i’m sure you’re going to love it!
