A sub office of the National Bank of Scotland opened at ‘Sunbeam Cottage’, Balemartine, Isle of Tiree, on December 14, 1950. Managed by J.T.D. Wilson, who also managed Scarinish, it provided services weekly on Thursdays from 1.30pm to 3.00pm. This marks a notable moment in Tiree’s history.
