This month, work at the cottage included repairing walls and preparing for spring. New evergreen shrubs and plants, like laurels and bay trees, were planted to withstand Tiree’s harsh climate. In a few years, these will create a living wall for the patio and lessen yearly wall maintenance.

Guests reported a faulty washing machine that displayed errors during cycles. Rather than repairing it, a new machine was purchased and installed on Tiree, thanks to Ian S. A temporary laundry service was offered to affected guests. The issue is now resolved, and the old machine has been removed.
This year, the flowers and shrubs planted in the cottage garden have experienced significant growth, attributed to a favorable combination of warm weather and rainfall. The recent conditions have positively impacted the garden’s development, leading to thriving plants.
