Time to Decorate the inside!
It really starts to feel like everything is coming together when we’re at the painting and decorating stage! Yes, today saw another big leap forward with some attention being paid to the finishes inside the cottage. Filling the gaps, painting the walls (both drywall and stone) really started to make things feel more finished!
Of course, getting the painting out of the way, allows another big step forward to take place. We’ll soon be ready to lay the floors. Shown in the picture is the painting being done in the living room. Painting it white adds to an airy feeling and maximising the space as much as possible using colour. The stone walls painted white, we think looks fantastic, and entirely in keeping with the white stone walls of the outside of the cottage. The contractors were actually kind enough to email us at 1am last night letting us know of the good progress on all the small tasks that needed done first.
