It’s Springtime maintenance time! We’re over to Tiree to open up the cottage ahead of a busy 2023 season. Over the next week we’ll be freshening up the interior, tidying up the exterior after a rainy, cold windy winter and of course making sure the cottage is warm, cosy and fully equipped with everything in working order.
So, last night we drove up to Oban, sleeping in the car in the ferry queue under a heated fur blanket, (which was toasty!) The Calmac ferry, Lord of the Isles was leaving an hour earlier than usual. A 6.15am departure. Slept most of the time in the lounge. A nice and quiet sail, we arrived in Tiree just as the rain stopped! Good timing.
