Staircase Gets Woodstained

Took advantage of the beautiful sunny weekend here on the mainland to woodstain the staircase treads. They now match the rest of the wood in the cottage and I’ll be taking them up to Tiree on Wednesday. Spent a few hours outside painting several coats and i think i even got a tan! (or maybe its paint?). The staircase is being installed later this week and we’ve lots of tricky welding to do also, with the handrail and balustrades, the landing plate and the safety handrails at the top of the stairwell upstairs.
