Just before it got dark this evening, I went a walk along Balephetrish Beach with my dog. It’s been a while since I’ve been on that beach, preferring others like Soroby or Balevulin, but I had a great, refreshing walk and my boy loved running in and out the sea. (although not the towel dry, so much!)
I was accompanied by a dozen seals, who swam very close to the shore, their curiosity aroused by the dog barking at them.
As you may know, Struthan Cottage is one of the few cottages on the island which is pet friendly. We firmly believe you should be permitted to take your loving pet on holiday too. Thats what the beaches are there for! We have strict rules about pets in the house, such as not being permitted upstairs or on sofas and of course any fouling is always cleaned up by the dog owner ahead of the next guest.
I’d be lost without being able to take my dog on holiday.
