I was pleasantly surprised this Summer to see a new Tiree map on sale on the island. The map cover features the little holiday house at Balinoe that our family went to ever year when we were children. It’s also very close to where my own parents are buried in Soroby cemetery. Balinoe holds loads of childhood memories for our family and this excellent map folds out and tells the story of Tiree, including noting all the places of interest. I wont publish the map on the site as it’s for sale, but needless to say, our Struthan Cottage holiday guests will get a copy of it before they leave for Tiree. Look out for the colourful front cover in the local shops.
