In 1984, the renovated signal tower was opened to the public along with a small museum at Hynish. We were lucky enough to be there on the day when the Duke of Argyll opened it! Many moons ago!

Stayed in the ‘old blacksmiths’ in Hynish in June 2019 with my son & daughter whilst visiting Tiree to experience where my father had been posted in 1942 to work the RAF radar on Ben Hough. Found the base of his ‘hut’ at Kilkenneth and climbed the steps on Ben Hough to the radar post.
