A little maintenance was required on our front door. As well as painting another protective coat to the hardwood door, there is now a drip check on the front to help prevent ingress of water. A small adjustment to the concerete slab helped drain water away from the door, meaning no small puddles in the porch! Draft excluder added warmth and protection from the elements. To make it a little more welcoming, a nice front door mat added! A further maintenance visit is planned for February 2010, when some more significant additions will be made to the cottage and especially to the landscaping outside 😉
