Deposits are due 12 months before holiday

A reminder to all holidaymakers and guests that deposits are STRICTLY due 12 months prior to your holiday. Your attention to this is appreciated and is a policy we must enforce at all times.

We’ve recently had a situation where deposits were not paid and a reservation consequently removed just before the actual holiday. This created a problem for the couple filling those holiday dates who had to give up part of their holiday as it was too late to book the ferry, or the ferries were full for the Saturday outgoing journey. This resulted in them only booking part of the available week and of course cost us financially too. This won’t happen again and deposits will be chased.

Our message here is simple:

a) Please send in your £100/wk deposit if you’re going on holiday to Struthan Cottage in the next 12 months. You don’t have a booking until you do this and we will remove the reservation after a short time if we receive nothing! Only a deposit & booking form sent to us confirms a guaranteed booking. Balances don’t need to be paid until just 4 weeks before your holiday and we’ll issue you a postal reminder!

b) Book your travel early with Calmac or Flybe to avoid disappointment! We don’t get involved in that. It’s up to you!

We are in the process of writing to guests who have reservations in 2012 to chase up deposits. If you’re reading this and haven’t yet paid your deposit, please get in contact with us asap. Thanks.
