Spicy or Plane Curries?

Great story for you today! From today’s Scottish Sun Newspaper.

COPS and airline chiefs have launched an investigation after two CURRIES were stolen from baggage in a plane’s hold on it’s way to Tiree.

The spicy dishes belonged to two passengers who bought them in Glasgow to take home to Tiree in the Hebrides – where there are no Indian eateries. The women ordered the takeaways after enjoying a slap-up meal at a restaurant in the city – and checked in the food inside their luggage at Glasgow Airport.

But when the pair picked up the bags in Tiree their treats had been pilfered – although the cheeky thieves left the portions of rice. Last night Strathclyde Police confirmed a probe was under way into the bizarre case.

A spokesman said: “Police were called on Tuesday and made aware of curries missing from items of luggage. We are looking into the matter.”

Flight operators Loganair said they were treating the matter seriously. Tiree, with a population of around 760, has two hotels each with a bar and restaurant – but NO curry houses. A funny story for anybody reading, but a serious side with a reminder that dont put your valuables (including food, kids etc) in the plane hold!
