Several stories appeared in the National papers this week about some unscrupulous builders removing sand from Tiree. I have my own opinion on this and dont believe any builder would use sand from beaches within concrete as the concrete would ultimately fail. However, it may of been used for paths, landscaping etc. Not a practice i ever wish to indulge in, but here are the stories anyway.
